About Dannielle
I am a licensed certified social worker-clinical (LCSW-C) with 12 years of experience supporting clients across the lifespan. I specialize in helping adults manage anxiety, depression, grief, emotional imbalance, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, and stress. I also work with individuals navigating communication challenges, family dynamics, attention-related issues, intimacy concerns, and job-related stressors.
I earned my master’s degree in social work from Morgan State University and use a solution-focused, direct, and compassionate approach. I incorporate motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, existential therapy, and faith-based interventions, along with skills such as communication and decision-making support.
My goal is to provide a grounded, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. You do not have to navigate life’s challenges alone. Together, we will identify what you need to heal, grow, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity.

"I understand what it means to face grief, loss, trauma, and uncertainty, and I’m here to walk with you as you rediscover yourself, build resilience, and move toward healing."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
My dad was always distant and the way he stayed connected was through talking on the phone. Though I was his first child he confided in me at a young age. I would hear his challenges, hear his confessions and always keep his confidentiality. I did not know he turned me into a therapist but the natural skills and ability have been present since I could talk and understand. My natural orientation is to help, encourage and problem solve with others and it began with those I love most.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work well with clients who are motivated to show up for themselves and are ready to make change in their life. Clients that want to work collaboratively toward their goals tend to meet them.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Therapy is just like anything else in life: you get out of it what effort and energy you put into it. A good therapist will match you and take you to your next level.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In the first session ONLY clients can expect a mini orientation to therapy, lots of personal questions, poor eye contact due to me typing (just being honest), some occasional redirecting, a discussion about your goals for therapy, as well as an introduction to my therapeutic style (naturally). The goal in the first session is to capture as much personal background data to know you and connect (build rapport).
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I value my spiritual faith, relationships, and health/prosperity. Although my faith is personal, I have learned that faith (in any religion or idea) is a powerful vibration toward believing in oneself and achieving one's goals. I try to help clients to see their own faith, values and motivation toward reaching their own goals. Relationships and health/prosperity seem to naturally be addressed from there.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
In order to meet client's unique needs I maintain my person center approach and actively listen. Once I learn of clients' specific needs, I use my clinical judgement to intervene.
