Get to know Angela
Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I decided to be a therapist when I acquired my Masters Degree in Social Work and began working on my clinical hours. I really enjoyed working with children and adults in the community outpatient clinic.
What’s one thing you wish all clients knew?
I treat all clients the way that I would want a provider to treat my family members or myself.
What inspires you?
Simply helping people become healthy.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
During our first session, we will engage in rapport building and information gathering.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
I would like to gather as much background and historical information as possible to be able to make an preliminary diagnosis so that we can begin treatment planning.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
During my time off, I exercise self care by spending time with my family. I enjoy going to the spa. I enjoy cooking and sometimes doing absolutely nothing.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?
I am a very direct person who will set boundaries as needed. I will not hesitate to address challenges and barriers that prohibit forward movement with treatment.
