About Alexander
I am a licensed graduate professional counselor (LGPC) with 6 years of experience supporting clients facing mood disorders, behavioral concerns, and family challenges. I provide individual and family therapy using evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, and solution-focused therapy. I view therapy as a collaborative process designed to reduce distress, strengthen self-awareness, and improve overall quality of life.
I earned my master's degree in clinical mental health counseling from the College of William & Mary. I have received formal training in cognitive behavioral therapy and have applied this approach across diverse settings to help clients build resilience, improve emotional regulation, and develop effective coping skills.
I offer a flexible schedule and respect the time and effort you invest in your growth. Even little progress can create meaningful change. Together, we will focus on practical strategies that empower you to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

"As a student of psychology and an observer of human nature, I know that our distress is not without meaning, not in vain, and that there is a path to transform our pain into healing."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
My decision to enter the clinical mental health profession is based on my belief that I can support clients to relieve their distress in order to improve the quality of their lives and deepen their relationships, especially with family members. Our pain is deeply meaningful and we all have a measure of power to transform this into a pillar of strength. The ability to be a part of this for others is meaningful to me.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Mental health is fundamentally important because it helps us to resolve problems in a shorter span of time and to benefit from the fruits of collaborative effort, knowing that we are not alone. We may wake up one day buried under the weight of suffering, not knowing how we got there. Therapy is the process of rising out from this situation one step at a time, each step being a brick in the platform of our future self.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Our initial session will help us to share background information and work towards defining to issues that need to be addressed.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
Our time spent in session will be used to address need areas and work through the treatment plan.
