Tori’s approach is collaborative and grounded in trust and honesty, and she works to create a space that feels safe and free of judgment. While she's here to support and guide, she also believes real growth comes from your effort, and she’s not here to “fix” you, but to walk alongside you as you do the work.

Get to know Tori

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I decided to become a therapist because I’ve always had an innate passion for helping others navigate their emotions and experiences. Growing up, I didn’t always have the support I needed, which made me realize how important it is to be the adult you need for others. I wanted to offer the compassion, guidance, and understanding I wished I had. Over the years, working with a diverse range of clients has only deepened my belief that everyone has the capacity for growth and change. I’m here to walk alongside people in their journey, helping them uncover their strengths and overcome obstacles, so they can lead fulfilling, authentic lives.

What types of clients do you work with best?

I work best with clients who have a good sense of humor and enjoy a bit of sarcasm. While it might take a little time to build rapport, I like to let the client take the lead in sessions, going at their own pace and making sure the process feels comfortable and collaborative.

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

I'm excited to work with people who are ready to put in the effort, be open, and explore what it means to find their authentic self.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

I wish people knew that therapy isn’t about having all the answers before you start—it’s about being willing to explore and find those answers along the way. It’s okay to not be sure what you need or even to feel uncertain at first. Therapy is a space where you can discover your authentic self, grow at your own pace, and work through challenges in a way that feels true to you. It’s not about being 'fixed'—it’s about finding the strength and tools to navigate life’s ups and downs, and I’m here to help you with that.

Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

It’s a flexible, hybrid work environment with a calm, structured atmosphere—free from the chaos and crisis that can sometimes come with higher-stress settings.

What inspires you?

I’m inspired by the idea of planting seeds in therapy—helping clients take small steps and watching them grow and make progress over time. It’s amazing to see how consistent effort and support can lead to real, lasting change.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

I’m a relaxed person, and I understand that I’m a new face, so building trust will take time. We’re all human, and I know it’s important to feel comfortable before diving into anything heavy.

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?

I want my clients to feel excited and look forward to their next session, knowing that it’s a space where they can be themselves, make progress, and feel supported every step of the way.

What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?

No pressure, no judgment—your first session is all about you, and together, we’ll collaborate to understand what’s important to you and how to move forward.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

When my social battery is full, I love going to live music and shows, and trying new activities with my friends. When it’s low, I prefer staying in, building Lego, playing video games, and hanging out with my cats.

What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?

Loyalty: the deep, unwavering commitment that stands the test of time, built on trust, respect, and understanding. It’s the foundation of strong relationships, offering support and consistency, even in the face of challenges.
