Get to know Taylor

Why did you decide to become a counselor?

I believe that therapy has a negative stigma attached to it. Due to this, I wanted to become a counselor in order to help others work through their life's situations to the best of their ability without fear of being stereotyped, and feeling as though they are isolated.

What types of clients do you work with best?

Clients that engaged in treatment and have goals that they would like to work on.

What’s one thing you wish all clients knew?

Your experiences are yours, and yours alone. You are valid in your feelings.

Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

Thriveworks is a positive environment to work in, and encourages its staff to learn and educate themselves.

What inspires you?

The goodness that all people possess.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

Clients can expect to engage with an honest and candid therapist that does not sugar coat issues, or beat around the bush. I try to provide clients with raw data, and tangible skills they can use to better their own understanding of their health.

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?

I would love to accomplish a positive working relationship.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

I love to hike, and sing.

What’s one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?

One thing that defines me is my style. I am laid back and relaxed.
