Get to know Raef
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
For years I worked as a teacher. I designed lesson plan after lesson plan only to be met with students who were more interested in running around and impressing their friends than they were in my class materials. And why should they have been? It was then that I pursued a career learning about people and supporting their inner needs. What truly interests people? What fuels their motivations?
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
Talking helps.
What inspires you?
Others. In connecting with others, I am shown and reminded of the countless ways there are to be.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
A space without judgement where we can together figure out how we would like to spend our time.
