About Provider

About Olivia

I am a master’s level clinician with 4 years of experience supporting clients through anxiety, stress, trauma, identity concerns, and major life transitions. I help clients build coping skills, resilience, and a stronger sense of emotional well-being. When meeting with me, you can expect collaborative, strengths-focused support that develops clarity and emotional resilience.

I earned my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from William James College. My work is culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy. I meet clients where they are, combining clinical expertise with their insight to guide treatment.

Wherever you are in your journey, you deserve support that feels grounding, validating, and empowering. I am here to walk alongside you as you move toward clarity and healing. If you feel ready to take the next step, I’d be honored to support you in that process.

Get to know Olivia

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I decided to become a counselor because I’ve always been drawn to creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and understood. Through my work in community wellness, community organizing, and engagement work, I witnessed how deeply people are impacted by stress, trauma, identity challenges, and lack of accessible care. Those experiences showed me the importance of culturally informed, compassionate mental health support—especially for individuals and communities who are often overlooked or underserved. Counseling allows me to combine my clinical training with my passion for advocacy, healing, and community care, and to help clients build resilience, clarity, and meaningful pathways forward

What types of clients do you work best with?

I work best with clients who are navigating anxiety, depression, social or interpersonal challenges, or who are seeking support in understanding themselves and fostering personal growth. I connect particularly well with individuals who value an empathetic, collaborative approach and who are looking for a space to explore their experiences, develop new coping strategies, and build resilience. My background in providing one-on-one support, facilitating workshops, and connecting clients with community resources allows me to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, especially those seeking guidance in self-discovery and personal development.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

I wish all clients knew that therapy is a collaborative effort, combining a therapist's clinical knowledge with the unique insight a client has about themselves. Similarly, mental health is not a linear concept, and there is so much a therapist can learn from a client about their perceptions, cultural understanding, and experiences of healing.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

In the first session and the early stages of therapy, clients can expect a lot of questions as we get to know one another. These sessions are important for me to understand you—what brings you to therapy and how you envision our work together. During this time, we will also focus on treatment planning, clarifying the goals you want to accomplish in therapy, and outlining how we will work together to achieve them in subsequent sessions.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

My practice as a therapist is informed by both personal experiences and deeply held values around empathy, social equity, and community support. Having worked closely with students and community members navigating basic needs insecurities and systemic challenges, I’ve seen firsthand how access to resources, safe spaces, and understanding support can impact wellbeing. I value collaboration and empowerment, believing that clients are experts in their own lives, and that therapy is most effective when it combines their insight with clinical guidance. My experiences have also made me particularly attuned to the importance of creating inclusive, culturally responsive spaces where clients feel seen, understood, and supported in their personal growth and self-discovery.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs by first taking time to deeply understand their experiences, goals, and perspective. I combine my clinical knowledge with the insight clients have about themselves to collaboratively develop a treatment plan that feels relevant and achievable. I consider factors like their emotional state, cultural background, coping style, and personal strengths, adjusting my approach to meet them where they are. Whether through structured skill-building, reflective conversation, or connecting them with community resources, I prioritize flexibility and responsiveness so that therapy supports each client’s growth, self-understanding, and overall wellbeing.
