Nicolle Rubino is a Licensed Mental Health Clinician who has spent 7 years working in the mental health field providing crisis care to adults and adolescents needing partial hospitalization treatment. Nicolle received her Master's in Mental Health Counseling and Art Therapy from Lesley University, where she was able to develop skills based in clinical psychology and creative expression. Nicolle pulls from a variety of evidence-based approaches such as mindfulness, person-centered, cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, and expressive therapies.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I became a mental health clinical because there is nothing more fulfilling than getting an opportunity to help someone find out how they can help themselves.

What types of clients do you work with best?

Adolescents, young adults and adults that are struggling with disruptive symptoms and need help creating a clear path forward to finding personal success, whatever that may look like for them.

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

Clients that are open and available to do the work.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

That you cannot help how you feel but you can help how you attend to that feeling.

Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

Because of its reputation for allowing clinicians to concentrate on the most important thing and that is the actual therapy that is happening with the clients.

What inspires you?

Self-actualization and compassion.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

Warmth and rapport building.
