About Max
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) with 11 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate emotional challenges and relationship dynamics. I’m passionate about learning, exploring, and growing, both personally and professionally, and I’m continually inspired by the strength and resilience I see in my clients. My goal is to create a collaborative, supportive space where people can heal from trauma, manage anxiety, and find empowerment through meaningful change.
I earned my master’s in marriage and family therapy from Touro University.
Beginning therapy can feel intimidating, but it’s a courageous step toward healing. I strive to provide a warm, welcoming space where you feel seen, heard, and valued. Your feelings are valid, and you deserve support that honors your story. I look forward to walking beside you as you work toward greater balance, resilience, and self-understanding.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
After working in the human services/social work field for several years,I saw a need for therapists with advanced training in trauma oriented interventions. I have both witnessed and personally experienced deep and profound healing in the therapy room.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who are looking to continue to heal and grow. I have really enjoyed working with clients who are seeking to process trauma via EMDR.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Feeling fufilled and happy is not an unrealistic goal. Therapy is a tool that can help us to further access inner strength, healing and wisdom.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
During the first few sessions I will do a comprehensive assessment in order to know how to best support you. This will help me to know which interventions might be most helpful, allowing me to provide services that are individualized to your needs. We will then discuss different treatment options and collaboratively create a plan to work towards your goals.
