About Judith
Judy Ward is a Licenced Mental Health Clinician (LMHC) with over 30 years of experience in the mental health and substance abuse field. She is passionate about helping adults address their unique challenges and begin the journey to a healthy and fulfilling life. Judy specializes in substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and major life transitions.
Judy completed her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology at Bridgewater State University. Judy utilizes multiple treatment approaches including mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and solutions-focused therapy (SFT). She has developed excellent listening skills which enables her to provide the guidance and support her clients need.

Why did you decide to become a counselor?
While in college I really enjoyed my psychology classes and all the different components of how the mind works.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I enjoy working with all types of clients.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
Any client that wants to make changes in their life.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
Making changes can be hard at first.

What inspires you?
Watching someone going through a tough situation and not giving up.

Someone who is willing to listen and develop a plan that meets their needs.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
To develop a rapport so they would want to continue treatment.

I am non-judgemental and a very good listener.
