About Jennifer
I am a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) with 47 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based psychotherapy. I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, chronic illness, and grief. I have worked with clients across the lifespan and value creating a collaborative, respectful space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to move forward.
I earned my master’s degree in social work from Boston University. My clinical approach integrates cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, EMDR, narrative therapy, and positive psychology. I tailor treatment to each client’s goals, strengths, and lived experiences.
You deserve a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel seen and heard. I offer a calm, supportive environment and practical tools to help you build resilience, gain clarity, and create meaningful change. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you work toward healing and renewed hope.

"I'm a warm, deeply present therapist who specializes in helping people through their darkest moments with compassion, grounded guidance, and the lived experience of someone who truly understands what emotional survival requires."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a counselor because my greatest passion is decreasing emotional suffering and replacing it with hope and inner strength within clients. My strongest skill is increasing your quality of life which is lasting and fulfilling.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, stuck, and are navigating stress and relationship issues. People in life transitions or trauma who need genuine, effective and compassionate support.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I see therapy as a massage for the mind. Having therapy is something to be proud of, and it offers a unique type of insight and knowledge. This knowledge is power and translates into great hope.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In the first session and early stages of therapy with me clients will experience great relief and hope. It will be immediately apparent that you are in a place of healing and unconditional positive regard. You will feel renewed and see options and potential answers that were never apparent prior to session.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I am a single mother who has walked through many of life's challenges, and those experiences have shaped my deepest values as a therapist-resilience, empathy, integrity, and unwavering compassion. These experiences help me sit with clients in their hardest moments and support them with genuine understanding and strength.
How does you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I take time to truly understand each client's story, strengths, goals, and tailor each treatment unique to them. I blend evidence-based methods with a warm, collaborative approach. I adjust my pace, style and interventions to meet clients exactly where they are, ensuring therapy is effective.
