About Jamiere
Jamiere Trifilio is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 5 years of experience in outpatient therapy. Jamiere believes in client-centered therapy where clients are actively involved in their treatment. Jamiere also believes in an empathetic approach to therapy where a client feels safe, heard, and seen. Being a black woman in America gives Jamiere a unique perspective on life and growth. It has helped her grow as a therapist and have compassion toward humanity. Jamiere specializes in women's mental health for depression, anxiety, mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, LGBTQ+ issues, pregnancy, postpartum, and stress.
Jamiere completed her undergraduate degree at Houghton College and her master's degree at Eastern Nazarene College. Jamiere has been trained in multiple modalities such as narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and trauma-based work.
Life can come with many challenges and unexpected changes that affect us all in different ways. Jamiere will create a safe space of hope and compassion to support your journey of life. What types of clients do you work with best?
I work exclusively with women, women-identified and LGBTQ+ individuals.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am excited and hopeful to work with black and people of color clients to expands the normalcy of therapy in these communities. I also work with all culture backgrounds.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish all clients knew that they deserve to be cared for, seen and heard no matter what your story is. Our past stories do not determine our future, and in session we can work on writing the new book of your life.

I believe in a culture like Thriveworks with a commitment to collaboration, being open-minded and thoughtful for clients and clinicians alike.
What inspires you?
What inspires me is love and compassionate . Love of people, love of friends, love of connection and an open to heart to it all.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
In the first session you can expect a listening ear, a compassionate view and a time for me to begin to learn about you and your story.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
I hope to establish connection with you and that you feel safe in beginning a therapeutic relationship.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
Before scheduling a session with me I want you to know that I love supporting clients and will commit as a therapist to helping you write the new story of your life.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
In my off time I spend time with my husband and our cat. I am a huge gamer, reader and knitter which helps balance my off time.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
What has always defined me is love and kindness and I hope that you can experience this in session with me.
Can you tell us about a success you had with a client?
I count success with multiple clients who were able to write the story of their future, as well as heal from past and present. I am committed to that type of work and will be there every step of the way as your therapist.
