About Gabrielle
Gabrielle Eckler is a Resident in Counseling who specializes in treating depression, anxiety, substance abuse, relationship issues, life transitions, and self-esteem in adults. Gabrielle completed her Bachelor of Arts (BA) with a concentration in Substance Abuse Counseling at Curry College and her master's degree in Mental Health at Boston College. She has spent two internships focused on substance abuse counseling and working with older adults with a focus on health promotion and wellness.
Gabrielle utilizes a collaborative, strength-based, solution-focused, mindfulness-based, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)-focused treatment for anxiety and depression, while maintaining flexibility to best meet the needs of each individual. She seeks to provide a comfortable and supportive therapeutic environment that is client-centered and goal-oriented.

Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I became a counselor because through personal therapy of my own I know how effective and life changing it can be in improving quality of life.
What’s one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish all clients knew that they are not alone in their struggles. Even counselors deal with mental health issues, and we are all in it together!
