Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
Elizabeth has many lived experiences where she worked closely with social workers at different points in her life. Each of these clinicians were supportive in the goals that Elizabeth had through each moment. During her undergraduate program, Elizabeth worked closely with some clinicians at the Department of Youth Services. Seeing their support and relationship with the youth and their families inspired her to continue her education and dream of serving others.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
You are your own biggest champion, support, and advocate! I am here to support you on your journey by leaning on the strengths you have and developing skills that will help you reach your goals.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
During the first session, we will get to know one another and why you chose to seek out support. Through this relational approach we will discuss expectations you have for me and how I can best support you through this journey.
