Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a counselor because I know what it feels like to struggle, to question your worth, and to want change but not know where to start. Therapy made a difference in my life, and I wanted to offer that same space of safety and hope to others.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work best with clients who are navigating life transitions, exploring their identity, or healing from past trauma. I especially connect with individuals and families who may feel misunderstood or marginalized—whether due to cultural background, lived experience, or emotional struggles. I support clients who are ready to be seen as their full selves, even if they’re still figuring out who that is. My style is warm, affirming, and collaborative, and I strive to create a space where clients feel empowered to grow, set boundaries, and rebuild self-trust.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I’m most excited to work with clients who are ready to explore their identity, process trauma, or reconnect with their sense of self after difficult life experiences. I especially love supporting people who have felt unseen or silenced. It’s incredibly meaningful to help clients build confidence, find their voice, and create a life that reflects who they truly are.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish all clients knew that healing isn’t linear—and there’s no “right” way to show up in therapy. You don’t have to have the perfect words or a clear goal. Just showing up is enough. You are the expert of your story, and even on the hard days, you’re doing meaningful work by choosing yourself.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
Thriveworks allows me to focus on what matters most—building meaningful, healing relationships with my clients—while also supporting my growth as a clinician through flexible, values-driven practice.
What inspires you?
I’m inspired by the courage people show when they step into therapy. I’m moved by the resilience of clients who continue to show up, even when it’s hard, and by the transformation that happens when someone begins to trust themselves again. I’m also inspired by the belief that healing doesn’t happen in isolation—it's nurtured in connection, in community, and in spaces where people feel truly seen.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
In our first session, clients can expect a welcoming, judgment-free space where they can begin at their own pace. I’ll take time to learn what brings them to therapy, explore what’s been weighing on them, and start building a foundation of trust. There’s no pressure to have it all figured out—my role is to listen with compassion, honor your lived experiences, and help you feel safe, seen, and supported as we move forward together.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
In our first session, my goal is to begin building a trusting relationship where clients feel safe, respected, and understood. More than anything, I want them to leave feeling seen and reassured that they don’t have to navigate things alone.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
I want to learn what’s bringing them in, explore what they hope to get out of therapy, and begin identifying the strengths they already carry.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
Outside of my work, I cherish time with my family — my husband (my high school sweetheart) and our three beautiful daughters. I love books, exercise, dancing, music, and sharing good meals with loved ones
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
Outside of work, I’m defined by my love of stories and my intentional pursuit of joy—whether through books, music, dancing in the kitchen, or sharing meaningful conversations. I’m drawn to the ways people express themselves and make meaning of their experiences, and I try to create moments of connection and celebration in my own life too.
