I have been working with Cameron for about two years now and I can definitely see the progress we have made in helping me to set and maintain boundaries and prioritize self-care. He is a very empathetic and thoughtful counselor who does not talk down to me, but listens and connects with respect and sincerity.

What types of clients do you work with best?
I work best with clients who are willing to partner in their own therapy. This might look different across different ages and stages of life (from childhood through adulthood), but I don't believe that my role is to be your instructor, but to offer guidance while we collaborate around how to most effectively support you and meet your goals.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I'm looking forward to supporting clients who may have never received therapy/counseling before, or haven't had the best of experiences in the past. It's a massive step to even be here, and it can be disheartening when your therapist isn't a fit, especially after you may have put in so much effort to get there. I can't guarantee that I'll be your perfect fit, but I do hope to support you in finding what might meet your needs best, whether it be with me, or in helping connect you to another provider that does.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I have spent years supporting children, adults, and families (both in a group and individual counseling setting) who are grieving a significant death-loss. I chose to work with Thriveworks, to apply my specialities to a wider range of individuals looking for support with varied needs and concerns.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
Your story belongs to you. You are free to share as much or as little about you and your experience as feels comfortable. I also recognize that trust and safety takes time, my hope for our first session is to begin building some familiarity and rapport that will support our work together going forward.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
I invite you to ask questions! Share about your hopes, preferences, and needs in a therapist. The sooner I understand what works for you, the better I can learn how to support you best.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?
My Goal as a your Therapist is to meet you exactly where you are. I am both a Mental Health Counselor and Expressive Arts Therapist, who utilizes a number of different approaches, both arts-based and otherwise. I invite my clients to communicate any preferences they might have, however you will find that our sessions may be fluid and evolving.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I am an artist/musician and love to create when I have the space and time to do so. I am also an avid fan of the Boston Celtics and enjoy following the NBA. Though I would probably say that the most fun I have is spending time with my family, I have twin toddlers and are the most curious, spunky, fearless, little explorers. Most of my free time is spent wrangling them!
