About Anastasia
Anastasia Doulamis is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who has worked therapeutically with adolescents in many different contexts since 2011, and with adults since 2012. Anastasia is especially experienced in working with young people who have faced difficult transitions and trauma. She also has an extensive background in working with individuals who suffer from addiction.
Anastasia completed her Bachelor of Science (BS) at Northeastern University and her master’s degree in Counseling at the Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis. With training in psychoanalysis and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), she helps clients process difficult experiences to come through them more adaptable, insightful, and resourceful, so that even the most painful things in life can make them stronger.
Anastasia provides a safe space to support you through these transitions and uncertainties, facilitating growth through the challenges life brings.

Get to know Anastasia
Why did you decide to become a counselor?
Everyone has a story yet most people never feel heard or understood. I have always had a natural tendency to want to understand people and their adaptive and maladaptive tendencies. More importantly I have found for it to be my life work to offer a place where they can grow from understanding themselves.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I have vast experience in working with adolescents, young adults, and adults.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
Any client who needs support.
What’s one thing you wish all clients knew?
That it is ok to feel stuck.

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
The key to success in therapy is within the therapeutic relationship. Establishing a positive working alliance is extremely important.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?
That they don't mind a little humor during sessions.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
Yoga and travel.
