About Amatoritsero
I'm Amatoritsero Clarke, a Clinical Mental Health Therapist and Outpatient Clinician dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to adolescents and adults facing a variety of mental health challenges. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, mood disorders, grief, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, and co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. My goal is to help clients gain insight, develop healthy coping skills, improve emotional well-being, and create meaningful, lasting change in a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment.
I provide a warm, collaborative, and culturally responsive approach tailored to each client's unique needs. Using evidence-based therapies, including CBT, Motivational Interviewing, person-centered therapy, and trauma-informed care, I help clients strengthen coping skills, improve emotional well-being, and achieve meaningful, lasting growth.
Life's challenges can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to face them alone. My goal is to provide a supportive and collaborative environment where you can gain insight, build confidence, and develop the tools needed to thrive. I look forward to supporting you on your journey.

"As someone who has worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences, I understand that healing is not one-size-fits-all, and I tailor therapy to each person's unique needs and goals."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I chose to become a therapist because I have always been passionate about supporting others through difficult times and helping them recognize their strengths. Seeing clients gain confidence, overcome obstacles, and improve their mental health is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work. I believe that with compassion, collaboration, and evidence-based care, every individual has the potential to heal, grow, and create a more fulfilling life.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I primarily work with adults and also provide therapy for adolescents facing a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, mood disorders, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. I welcome clients who are ready to better understand themselves, strengthen their emotional well-being, and develop practical strategies for navigating life's challenges. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual's unique needs and goals.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
There is no "right" way to do therapy. Some sessions bring breakthroughs, while others focus on small but meaningful steps. Both are valuable, and growth often happens gradually rather than all at once.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Your first session is an opportunity for us to begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. We'll discuss your current concerns, personal history, strengths, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. As we move forward, we'll work together to better understand your experiences, identify patterns, build effective coping skills, and support meaningful, lasting growth.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is guided by the belief that every individual deserves to be treated with compassion, dignity, and respect. I value authenticity, empathy, cultural humility, and collaboration, and I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences, build resilience, and achieve meaningful personal growth.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I recognize that every client brings unique experiences, strengths, values, and goals to therapy. I tailor treatment by taking the time to understand each individual's concerns, cultural background, preferences, and personal circumstances. Using evidence-based approaches, I collaborate with clients to develop a personalized treatment plan that reflects their needs, adapts as they grow, and supports meaningful, lasting change. My approach is flexible, collaborative, and focused on helping each client achieve their therapeutic goals at a pace that feels right for them.
