Alice received her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a focus in Art Therapy from Lesley University. Clients struggling with identity formation and self-esteem will find a therapeutic relationship with her that is supportive, collaborative, and allows for curiosity. Alice is an advocate for identity development and healthy relationships, and although she is comfortable with talk therapy, her specialty is art therapy.
By exploring clients’ creative strengths, she'll work together with them to build structure and meaning in their daily routines, find validation of their experiences, and grow and enrich their inner worlds. Alice knows that it takes personal strength and wisdom to seek help. She looks forward to assisting you on your journey towards discovering your own resilience and inner ability to heal and grow.

"Seeking help already shows your resilience and wisdom and I look forward to exploring your other strengths together."

Get to know Alice
Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I decided to become a counselor because therapy helped me too.
What types of clients do you work with best?
Youth and teens, young adults, and older adults/seniors.
What’s one thing you wish all clients knew?
Therapy is often about change and change is difficult, but it is possible with personal accountability, creativity, and support.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I believe therapy should be accessible to all people, regardless of their ability to commute to a counselor's office space. Having options for both virtual and in-person therapy supports clients' needs.
What inspires you?
Art, people's sense of humor in the face of adversity, nature, and music.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
Active listening and introducing me to their style of communication.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
I would want to accomplish the introduction of major players in the individual's life, their style of communication, and choose one goal to pursue outside therapy.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?
I will meet you wherever you are at. Sometimes we are doing our best, and our best is terrible. That's okay. Healing is a journey only experienced by being started.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I am an avid science fiction and fantasy reader, rock-climber and hiker, and painter.
What’s one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
I believe in universal empathy and limitless possibilities.
