About Alessandra
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 11 years of experience supporting individuals through life transitions, trauma, and recovery. As a second-generation Haitian woman and trauma survivor, I integrate lived experience with clinical expertise to guide clients toward healing, resilience, and self-trust. I specialize in trauma recovery, emotional regulation, and identity development, creating a safe, empowering space where clients across all races, genders, sexualities, abilities, faiths, and experiences feel seen, heard, and understood.
I earned my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Fisher College and have extensive experience in crisis intervention, trauma therapy, and identity work. My therapeutic approach blends cultural awareness with compassion and collaboration to help clients heal at their own pace while rediscovering strength and purpose.
My goal is to help you unpack the past, nurture resilience, and reconnect with your authentic self. Together, we’ll create a space where your story is honored and your growth feels possible—focusing on clarity, confidence, and meaningful change. Healing begins when you feel safe enough to be fully yourself.

"As a second-generation Haitian woman and survivor of trauma, I carry the resilience of my ancestors and offer a compassionate, affirming space where individuals of all backgrounds can explore healing, navigate identity, process trauma, and build the tools to move forward with strength and intention."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
What drew me to this work was the realization that healing is possible when someone holds space for you—not to fix you, but to witness you. I wanted to be that presence for others. I wanted to help people feel seen, understood, and empowered to rewrite their narratives. Counseling became the bridge between my personal journey and my professional purpose—a way to honor resilience, restore self-trust, and walk alongside others as they reclaim their voice.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who are ready to explore the deeper layers of their story—those navigating complex trauma, identity shifts, grief, and emotional overwhelm. Many of the people I support are survivors, cycle-breakers, and deep feelers who’ve carried more than their share. They may be second-generation, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, or simply individuals who’ve never felt fully seen in traditional spaces. I connect deeply with those who are curious, reflective, and willing to sit with discomfort in service of growth. Whether you're unpacking generational wounds, reclaiming your voice, or learning to trust yourself again, I’m here to walk beside you with empathy, cultural humility, and a steady belief in your capacity to heal.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
We can't heal what we refuse to feel.
You must honor the pain to release it.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, you can expect a calm, welcoming space where we focus on building trust. We'll explore what brings you in and what healing might look like for you. Early sessions are about understanding your story, identifying patterns, and creating a path forward—at your pace, with compassion and clarity.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I value authenticity, compassion, and cultural humility. I believe healing is not one-size-fits-all—it’s relational, layered, and deeply personal. These values guide how I show up: with curiosity, without judgment, and always with respect for your lived experience. I hold space for grief, anger, joy, and transformation, knowing that each emotion has a role in your healing. My work is rooted in the belief that every person deserves to reclaim their voice and rewrite their narrative on their own terms.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by meeting each client exactly where they are—emotionally, culturally, and relationally. I listen closely to their lived experience, values, and goals, and adapt my approach to fit their pace and preferences. Whether someone needs structure, space to reflect, or tools to manage overwhelm, I adjust the work to honor their unique story. I draw from trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and client-centered frameworks to ensure therapy feels relevant, safe, and empowering. No two paths to healing look the same—and I’m here to walk yours with intention and care.
