Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I decided to become a counselor because of my love for fellow humans and the overwhelming amount of pressure we feel as we walk through this world.
What types of clients do you work with best?
My personality is laid back, calm and engaging. My approach lends itself to be inviting to anyone who is ready to do a deep dive into what they may need in order to make positive changes for their life.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
My favorite population are those who have experienced some dark things in the past and are finding it hard to move past those feelings and symptoms to get where they want to be.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
Everyone deserves to be listened to, heard and understood. There is no problem to big or to small to have someone in your corner.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
Thriveworks has opened a door that I have been looking for. It provides the flexibility for me to have a career and spend time with my family!
What inspires you?
I am inspired by hearing what my people are learning, practicing and sharing are helping them heal in a way that they never thought was possible.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
I firmly believe that you are the captain of your ship! You are the expert, I am here to help you on your current journey. The first session will be spent on me learning you and your experience. This will continue until you and I are both comfortable with moving forward in our journey together.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
I want to be the learner and you to be the teacher. My goal for the first session is always for it to be the best it can be for you and for it to provide some insight to where we go from here.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?
I am super excited to get to know what you need. I know that it can be intimidating to schedule a session but know I am super excited to meet you!
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I love spending time outside, on the water or doing anything with my family.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
I feel that negative judgement has no place in this world. It is hard enough, why make it harder?
