About Mikayla
Makayla Deisler is a Licensed Social Worker with 2 years of experience as a therapist and 9 years of experience in the mental health field. Makayla specializes in oppositional defiant disorder, parenting support, school-related issues, and trauma and PTSD. She has worked extensively with children, adolescents, adults, and families using holistic and client-centered approaches to care.
Makayla earned her Master’s of Social Work from Indiana University and brings a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to her work. She uses techniques that include child therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and family systems.
Makayla offers a supportive space to explore emotions, make sense of challenges, and learn practical coping strategies. Her compassionate style helps clients feel empowered at their own pace, reminding them they don’t have to carry it all alone.

I aim to create a space where individuals can show up as their authentic selves and work through their struggles in a way that feels true and meaningful to them.

Life’s challenges are something we all face, and times of transition can often leave us feeling overwhelmed or disconnected. Starting therapy isn’t about having failed—it’s about caring for yourself and wanting to move forward, one step at a time.
