My approach is grounded in compassion, empathy, and the belief that meaningful change begins with a supportive, trusting relationship. Throughout my professional career in behavioral health and mental health services, I have developed a deep appreciation for the unique experiences, strengths, and challenges that shape each individual. I recognize that seeking support can sometimes feel overwhelming, and I strive to create an environment where individuals feel comfortable expressing themselves without fear of judgment.
My perspective emphasizes personcentered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed care. I believe in meeting people where they are, recognizing their resilience, and working collaboratively to identify meaningful goals and opportunities for personal growth. Above all, I value authenticity, dignity, and human connection.

"As someone who has worked in behavioral health for much of my career, I believe that everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and respected, regardless of the challenges they may be facing. "
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
There is a quote often attributed to Sophocles that has always resonated with my philosophy of counseling: "To have ears is one thing, to listen is another".
What types of clients do you work best with?
Adults.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Counseling is about more than addressing challenges. It is about building trusting relationships, fostering hope, and empowering individuals to create positive change in their lives.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
My approach is collaborative, solutionfocused, and guided by your comfort level. There is no expectation that you share everything during our first conversation. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling supported, understood, and more comfortable about the steps ahead. Above all, I believe counseling is a partnership, and our first session is simply the beginning of that journey.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I have always been a natural listener and believe that feeling genuinely heard and understood can be the beginning of meaningful change.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I recognize that no two people experience life's challenges in the same way, which is why I believe therapy should never be a one-size-fits-all approach. I begin by listening, understanding each client's unique experiences, and identifying what matters most to them.
