About Amaryllis
Hi, I'm Amaryllis, but you can call me Ama. I earned my Master of Social Work degree and have spent nearly eight years in clinical practice. I believe everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported. I work with teens, adults, and older adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and intergenerational wounds. Together, we'll create a compassionate, judgment-free space to foster healing, build resilience, deepen self-understanding, and help you move toward the life you want.
My approach is collaborative, flexible, and tailored to your needs. I integrate CBT, CPT, ACT, mindfulness, personcentered, solution-focused, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approaches to build coping skills, foster resilience, and support healing in a safe, affirming space.
Healing can hold both tears and laughter. I strive to create a compassionate, judgmentfree space where you feel seen, heard, and accepted for who you are. When you're ready, I invite you to take the next step and begin your journey with me.

"Life is always changing, and we are constantly learning how to adapt and grow. As a queer woman of color in the Latinx community, I bring both lived experience and clinical understanding to the work I do. I recognize how deeply life experiences and intergenerational trauma can shape who we are and how we move through the world. I am committed to supporting healing, resilience, and meaningful change for the individuals and communities I work with. "
Get to know Amaryllis
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a social worker and therapist because I wanted to be the person my younger self needed—someone who listens, supports, and shows up with care and consistency for others who may not have it yet.
What types of clients do you work best with?
Teens, young and older adults.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
It is okay to not be okay, and it is okay to seek help. Therapy is a process, and healing often involves setbacks, growth, and support along the way.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In the first session, we focus on getting to know each other, exploring what brings you to therapy, and understanding the type of support you’re looking for. Early sessions are centered on listening and building a sense of trust and comfort.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is grounded in compassion, empathy, and genuine support. I believe healing happens in connection, and I value creating a space where clients feel seen, understood, and not alone. I also believe in the healing power of laughter and moments of lightness, even in difficult times.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by taking the time to understand each client’s story, needs, and goals. I meet clients where they are and adapt my approach to what feels most supportive, grounding, and helpful—always with empathy, compassion, and connection at the center.
