About Mason
I am a person-centered therapist with 5 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who struggle with trauma, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and life transitions. I'm also an experienced life coach and sports psychologist helping young teens and adolescents with performance anxiety and other sports-related issues. Before becoming a therapist, I was a wrestling coach at the youth, high school, and college levels following a long-time career as a competitor in the sport of wrestling. I strive to help all individuals in a safe, positive, and supportive environment to regain hope and thrive.
In our sessions together, I utilize a person-centered cognitive behavioral approach which instills empowerment and personal growth. I value up-front focused care that prioritizes client goals, provides skills training, enhances self-esteem, and builds self-efficacy.
You have already taken a courageous first step towards healing and growth. Let's schedule our first session together and establish a plan that feels right for you at a pace that feels comfortable.

"As a therapist with a background in positive psychology, biology, and coaching college wrestling, I have a knowledgeable and applied understanding of the neurobiological, emotional, environmental, and relational underpinnings which influence an individual’s health and well-being."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a counselor to help guide others through their suffering as no one deserves to suffer alone or without the support to heal.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who are motivated towards change, though I understand therapy can feel vulnerable. I instill a safe, supportive, nonjudgmental environment within our sessions together.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
One thing I wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, and the healing process is that while vulnerability can be scary, it is a courageous first step towards healing and a very significant show of strength and resilience.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session together, we will take time together to understand the challenges you are facing. We will collaboratively establish treatment goals set at a pace you feel comfortable with. In our following sessions, we will work together to develop and practice new skills while progressively improving towards your set goals.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice as a therapist is informed by my clinical background working with individuals to overcome anxiety, depression, and life transitions to regain hope and heal. I value empathy, openmindedness, and positive regard.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor our therapy together in collaboration with you as the client to fit your needs during session and as they potentially change in future sessions. Establishing an environment which is supportive of your needs is important in our sessions together.
