Sharday Watkins is a Licensed Master of Social Work with over 4 years of experience. She specializes in supporting individuals and families who have experienced trauma or are struggling with anxiety and depression. Sharday has worked in school-based and community-based therapy, giving her a broad scope of how mental health affects relationships and groups. Sharday works collaboratively with clients to provide the necessary tools and empowerment to improve their lives. She is a native of Baltimore, Maryland.
Sharday received her Master of Social Work from Liberty University. She utilizes approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, emotionally-focused therapy, art therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based techniques.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
After teaching, during my time in early childhood education I was moved by how many young people truly needed help with mental health and wanted to be apart of change and empowering others to make positive changes in their lives.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I am open to all ages however, I currently work with teens and adults.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am most excited to work with women and families.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
That it is never too late for you to make a positive change and go after and achieve your goals.

I loved the community and the broad spectrum of services provided.
What inspires you?
I am inspired through learning from others and knowing that there is always more to learn no matter the age.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
Clients can expect that I will be warm, inviting, and sympathetic always. I look forward for providing every person with the best possible service, while working collaboratively to empower each person with the tools and knowledge to achieve their desired goals.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
Establishing rapport and setting smart goals that are based on client's direct needs.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
Spend time with my family and read.
