Hi, I’m Quiseonna, a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationships, life transitions, and substance use. Therapy isn’t just about talking, it's also about those “ohhh, now that makes sense” moments. Together, we will explore the why behind your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building practical skills for real life change.
My approach is person centered and practical, using CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing to help you understand patterns, manage emotions, and build skills you can actually use outside of therapy. Expect a supportive space where we can do the work, celebrate the wins, and turn those “aha!” moments into real life growth.
You don’t have to have all the answers before starting therapy. Sometimes showing up is the first step. Healing takes time, patience, understanding, and consistency, and I’m here to walk alongside you through the process. When you are ready, I would be honored to connect with you and take that next step together. You deserve a space to simply be you.

"I believe in meeting you where you are, making sure you feel heard and understood, and walking alongside you as you heal, grow, and become the best version of YOU."
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a counselor because I have always had a passion for helping others feel heard, understood, and supported through difficult times. I wanted a career where I could make a meaningful difference by helping people recognize their strengths, overcome challenges, and create positive change in their lives.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, substance use, and recovery.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish every client knew that therapy, healing, and improving your mental health take time, patience, understanding, and consistency. It’s okay to move at your own pace, and even small steps can be meaningful progress toward becoming a healthier version of yourself.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy
Clients can expect a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where we take time to get to know one another, discuss their concerns, and identify what they hope to gain from therapy. In the early stages, we will work together to establish goals, build trust, and develop a treatment approach that fits their individual needs and comfort level.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is guided by empathy, compassion, respect, and the belief that everyone deserves to feel heard and understood. My experiences working with individuals of different ages, backgrounds, and stages of life have taught me the importance of meeting each client where they are, creating a safe space, and helping them build on their strengths to create meaningful change.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by meeting each client where they are and taking time to understand their individual experiences, needs, strengths, and goals. I use a person centered approach while incorporating CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and other evidence based techniques based on the client’s needs. I also consider each client’s culture, background, support system, and readiness for change to create an approach that is collaborative and specific to them.
