Get to know Lauren
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided that I wanted to be in a position where I could help people feel empowered and in control of their lives.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
The one thing that I want all clients to know is that they have all the power within themselves to solve, conquer or overcome any obstacle that life throws at them.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
Clients can expect to receive a clinician that understands that life is not always sunshine and rainbows; but I provide a very down to earth perspective on life challenges. I strive to provide my clients with a safe space that is inviting and relaxed in meeting them wherever they are.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
First sessions are used to set the tone for continued services. We will discuss housekeeping expectations between clinician and clients, identify therapeutic goals and review any assessments if applicable.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I enjoy spending time with my family and my home is my comfort place. I enjoy reading, gardening and having opportunities to let my hair down and laugh. Laughing is my favorite thing to do and I always enjoy moments where I can enjoy myself.
