Kathy seeks to establish a positive and safe therapeutic relationship where you will feel comfortable to collaborate in order to discover unhealthy thought patterns and beliefs, work towards replacing them with healthier alternatives, and empower yourself with tools to be successful in living a meaningful life. She focuses on the relationship between thoughts and emotions and how if you change your thought process you can change your emotions. Kathy believes that meeting you where you are in your life is important when building a strong therapeutic partnership, helping you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, recognize your strengths, and develop strategies to work toward your goals. She will create a personalized treatment plan that meets your specific needs, utilizing techniques such as person-centered therapy, solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy.
