About Capri
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker trained in EMDR and other evidence based therapies, with extensive experience providing trauma informed care. I work primarily with young adult and middle aged women navigating burnout, anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship stress. Many feel overwhelmed or stuck in painful cycles and are seeking clarity, confidence, emotional balance, and healthier ways of coping and connecting.
My approach integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, blending practical skill building with deep emotional work. I focus on helping clients regulate emotions, strengthen boundaries, process trauma, and build self trust - so change feels steady and sustainable rather than overwhelming.
You do not have to navigate this season alone. Therapy can be a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered to grow. When you are ready, I invite you to take the next step and begin the work toward a more grounded and fulfilling life.

"I bring a grounded, yet deeply compassionate approach to therapy, helping clients move through trauma, burnout, and emotional pain with practical skills, authenticity, and respect for their lived experience."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a counselor because I have always been drawn to understanding people beneath the surface of their behavior. I saw how often pain shows up as irritability, withdrawal, perfectionism, or over functioning, and I wanted to help create spaces where people could feel safe enough to be honest about what they were carrying.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with young to middle aged adults who are thoughtful, capable, and often high functioning, yet feel internally overwhelmed. Many are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, or complicated relationship dynamics. They may struggle with perfectionism, emotional intensity, people pleasing, or feeling stuck in patterns they intellectually understand but cannot seem to change.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
It's okay to not be okay!
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In the first session, clients can expect a calm, structured space where we focus on understanding what brings them in and what they hope will feel different in their lives. I will ask thoughtful questions about current concerns, relevant history, relationships, and coping patterns, but the pace is collaborative. There is no pressure to share everything at once. My priority is helping you feel safe, respected, and heard. In the early stages of therapy, we work on clarifying goals and identifying patterns that may be contributing to distress. I often introduce practical skills early, especially for emotional regulation, boundaries, and managing anxiety, so clients begin experiencing relief while we build deeper insight. If trauma is part of your story, we move intentionally, establishing stability before any processing work.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
Several core values shape my work as a therapist: integrity, accountability, compassion, and growth. I believe people are doing the best they can with the tools they have, and I also believe change is possible when insight is paired with skill development and support. That balance between acceptance and responsibility strongly informs my clinical approach. Personally and professionally, I have seen how high functioning individuals can carry invisible stress while appearing composed on the outside. That awareness deepened my respect for emotional complexity and reinforced the importance of creating spaces where vulnerability is not judged but understood. I also value evidence based practice. Integrating approaches such as ACT, DBT, and EMDR reflects my commitment to combining empathy with structured, effective interventions. My goal is to provide care that is both deeply human and clinically sound, helping clients build resilience, clarity, and self trust over time
