About Bianca

I'm a licensed clinical social worker with more than 10 years of experience in the mental health field. I practice patience, respect, and open communication with clients. My career has focused primarily on adult inpatient psychiatric patients with complex diagnoses. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Columbus State University in Columbus, GA and a Master of Social Work from Troy University in Phenix City, Alabama. I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety, stress management, depression, grief, women's issues, obesity, weight management, and life transitions.

I utilize a blend of evidence-based practices and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to challenge negative thinking, modify behaviors, and birth newfound coping strategies. I enjoy meeting clients where they are while honoring their lived experiences. My mission is to provide a safe space where individuals feel seen, heard, and empowered to heal and grow.

If you are ready to start the healing journey with someone who will hold you accountable and push you towards your best self, let's take this journey together!

"As a dedicated therapist and advocate for mental health, I believe you don't have to carry it all alone. The world teaches us to just keep going but that sometimes isn't reality. Life events and situations arise and leave us feeling unsure of our ability to create a journey toward success. Rather than needing someone to make the decision for us; we simply want support to clarify our options and empower ourselves. "

Get to know Bianca

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I became a therapist in order to offer a safe, welcoming place where individuals can be seen, heard, and acknowledged as they journey through their quest for overall mental health and wellness.

What types of clients do you work best with?

Adults

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

I wish clients knew therapy requires a collaborative approach with the client being the expert on their lived experiences. I feel that it is also essential for clients to know therapy and the healing process is not linear. Therapy is an individualized experience with no two experiences being identical.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

During the first session clients can expect to experience a session that covers a discussion of confidentiality, payment, information gathering and an explanation of how therapy works.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

Operating with dignity and compassion for others, ensuring clients understand their responsibility within the therapeutic relationship as well as valuing the need for self-determination.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I ensure I meet clients where they are as well as making sure to treat all clients with dignity and respect.
