About Provider

About Lodina

I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with over 8 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges. I enjoy working with diverse populations and specialize in helping people facing anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship struggles. I provide a safe space where clients can explore their unique needs and create personalized paths toward healing and growth.

I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. When appropriate, I integrate faith and counseling, offering clients optional spiritual guidance. I draw on my strengths in adjustment, identity, and relationship support to help people navigate life’s difficulties with resilience and hope.

I strive to create a space where clients feel truly seen, heard, and validated. My goal is to empower individuals to recognize their strengths, overcome barriers, and pursue meaningful goals. I want every client I work with to know that support, hope, and healing are possible.

Get to know Lodina

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I decided to become a counselor because I have seen first-hand how having someone to talk to in a safe-nonjudgmental space helps individuals. People will face challenges and difficult seasons in their lives. I want to provide support so I can make a difference when someone feels overwhelmed or alone.

What types of clients do you work with best?

I work better with clients who are seeking Biblical guidance. Clients who are having trouble navigating through life changes (grief, work-related issues, divorce, and relationship issues).

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

Clients who deal with anxiety, depression, and life transitions.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

One thing I wish all clients knew is that seeking counseling is not a sign of weakness, but strength and courage.

Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

Thriveworks is a reputable company that has been around for years. I love the diversity with the counselors and the many services that are being offered.

What inspires you?

I am inspired by the resiliency I see in the clients. My greatest motivation comes from seeing small changes can have a great impact on an individual's life.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

Clients can expect to have a better understanding of their concerns, and to collaboratively work on a plan on how to move forward. Clients can also expect that they do not have to walk this journey alone.

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?

I want to build trust and create a safe, and welcoming environment where they feel heard and respected. I want them to feel excited about their decision in making that first step and not leave with any regrets.

What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?

I am a Christian, however, I will not impose my beliefs or values on them. I have worked with people of all lifestyles, nationalities, and religions.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

I enjoy traveling with family and planning events. I love going on cruises to get away from life's hustle and bustle.

What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?

Compassionate and non-judgmental
