I've had an incredible experience with Hallie as my provider. She's the best therapist I've ever seen in the nearly 10 years I've been in therapy. I love how flexible Thriveworks is with my schedule. I recommend it to anyone who tells me they need a therapist.

Why did you decide to become a counselor?

I wanted to become a counselor so I could have the opportunity to be a part of a someone's life in such a powerful way. I think with being a counselor, you can build such strong relationships. I think the most valuable aspect of being a counselor is having the opportunity to just be there for an individual and to listen. Sometimes that sounds so simple but can be so powerful for a person to be heard and feel valued.

What types of clients do you work with best?

Any client is a client that can be worked with. As long as they continue to show up to do the work, I will meet them halfway as well.

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

A client who is motivated, and ready to work! Whatever the issues are, they are coming to the session every week with an open mind.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

It is an honor to be invited into the heart of one who is hurting so deeply….It is a true blessing to know that you made a difference in his/her life.

Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

The ability to see people where they are at, whether it be remote or in person. I love that Thriveworks provides flexibility to not only the counselors, but the clients as well.

What inspires you?

The experience of seeing a person walk away lighter, freer, and excited to live their own personal journey after healing from wounds, stressors and obstacles in their path. There is nothing better than seeing a human being alleviated from emotional, psychological, spiritual or relational pain.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

The first session is just as much as me getting to know you, as you getting to know me. As in every relationship, building rapport takes time. I'm here with open ears to help make that process as easy as I can!

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?

I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. In your first session, I hope to foster a place of safety in which we can begin to discuss what brought you to Thriveworks.

What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?

Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

I absolutely love to be outside on my time off. Whether that means I'm on a run, at the beach, or at a dog park, you can usually find me spending my time under the sun when I am not working.

What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?

I've been told multiple times that I've "never met a stranger." I do believe that people that I haven't met yet are just friends I haven't been able to meet.
