Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a counselor because I am highly interested in understanding the intricacies of human behavior, passionate about learning about others' unique stories, and doing what I can to help others to feel better.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work best with clients who are curious to build insight for themselves and others, and motivated to put in the necessary effort and courage to change, outside of therapy sessions.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am excited to work with clients who are curious, open-minded and wanting to get the most out of their time in therapy.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
Healing and progress requires commitment, patience, and self-compassion. The process may be uncomfortable and not quite as linear as one might have expected, but the benefits are worth it!
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I chose to practice at Thriveworks to continue evolving and developing my clinical skills in a supportive, encouraging environment.
What inspires you?
Seeing clients shift to a more empowered and uplifted version of themselves through the work that may be done in therapy is truly inspiring.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
Clients can expect their first session with me to be warm, inviting, light and informative.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
The first session includes getting to know one another by the client providing helpful background information such as the main problem influencing them seeking therapy, symptoms, and goals for therapy, as well as the Clinician providing information about what to expect and answer questions the client might have about the therapy process.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I love spending time with friends and family which may include activities such as dining, enjoying live music, themed-parks, enjoying a sunny day outside in South Florida or watching intriguing and/or timeless favorites in tv and movies. Also, wellness and self-care are particular areas of interest and importance.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
Sense of humor, warmth and depth.
