About Jed
Jed is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 45 years of experience providing compassionate mental health care. He specializes in working with clients facing ADHD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, behavioral issues, and life transitions. Jed enjoys supporting clients who are ready to make meaningful changes but may need guidance in finding their voice and direction. He believes therapy should be collaborative, empowering, and judgment-free.
Jed holds a Master’s in Social Work from Marywood University. He utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy and tailors his approach to each client’s unique goals. Jed encourages exploration of past efforts, models new skills, and supports clients as they implement positive behavioral change.
Clients appreciate Jed’s calm presence and ability to listen deeply. He offers insight and reassurance while helping individuals find clarity without imposing solutions. His care is rooted in mutual respect, personal growth, and building trust through honest dialogue and encouragement.

Get to know Jed
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I was bullied as a kid and later sought out counseling which was beneficial. My mom recommended I try social work as a career for which I've never been sorry.
What types of clients do you work with best?
Clients who want to explore making changes but finding it difficult to do so due to a lack of knowledge and/or anxiety.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
That I will not judge them or hurry them to make decisions and they're in charge of their lives.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
Thriveworks presents many opportunities to work with a variety of populations and problem areas. The office is located relatively close to my home, and I can work remotely if I so choose.
What inspires you?
I'm inspired by those who come to me and at the conclusion express gratitude for the changes I helped them make by virtue of a smile, handshake, thank you or just the changes themselves.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
I'll introduce the client to my style and belief system which tends to relax most.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
A level of trust and confidence in me.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
I'm easy going, rather laid back.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I read, enjoy watching home improvement shows and treat myself to dinner on Saturday nights. I also enjoy attending arts and crafts festivals where I might buy more ceramics to add to my collection.

I'm fun-loving.
