Greta Wendorf is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with several years of experience in counseling. Anxiety and trauma can cause confusion, worry, fear, shortness of breath, heart palpitations, and can even be debilitating. She has a passion for helping adults and adolescents who struggle with anxiety, trauma, depression, grief, anger management, and domestic violence. She has plenty of experience counseling Christian clients while integrating her counseling skills and biblical teachings.

Greta holds a Master's in Professional Counseling (MA) from Liberty University, one of the top universities in the country in the field of counseling. She holds a Bachelor's in Psychology from Nova Southeastern University (BA) and an Associate's in Psychology from Broward College. Her experience of having received therapy herself helps her understand the emotions that accompany the process of starting therapy, the needs of clients, and the common experiences in the whole process of therapy. Greta uses several approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused CBT, cognitive processing therapy, EMDR, person-centered therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, emotionally focused therapy, and solution-focused therapy.

We all go through challenges in life, and in those times it is helpful to have a professional within our reach to join with us and help us gain perspective and techniques to cope with the challenges. Get to know Greta

Why did you decide to become a counselor?

Becoming a counselor was the fulfillment of a dream I've had since I was 13 years old! I've always loved to listen to and help others. In a nutshell, I was called to be a counselor and answering that calling has been one of the greatest satisfactions of my life.

What inspires you?

Hearing from my clients that they are feeling better, more empowered and are functioning better in their daily lives.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

This is a judgement free zone where you'll find hope and encouragement. Therapy is healthy and they are courageous for seeking it.

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?

I want them to walk out feeling hopeful about their situation and encouraged to do their therapeutic work.

What type of clients do you work with best?

I love working with clients that are ready to do the work needed to gain more understanding about themselves and to make changes so they can live a more joyful life. I love working with adults and older adolescents. I am passionate about integrating my counseling skills with biblical principles when working with Christian clients.

What's one thing that you wished clients knew?

Everyone experiences challenges, seeking therapy is a healthy and wise step. At the beginning sometimes it is not easy to seek support, but most clients find it to be a path to healing, joy, and peace.
