About Elizabeth
I am Elizabeth Solano, LMHC, with over 10 years of experience in mental health. I've had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients—from young children and adolescents to adults—navigating depression, anxiety, substance use, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and life transitions. I've also worked closely with the LGBTQIA+ community. I offer sessions in both English and Spanish.
I believe everyone has strengths, and I make it a point to highlight yours throughout our work together. I'll take time to get to know you as an individual—your interests, your passions, and what brought you to therapy in the first place. I'm here to listen without judgment, learn from you, and work collaboratively toward the goals that matter most to you.
We all need support sometimes—a listening ear, a fresh perspective, or help sorting through our thoughts. I know how hard it is to take that first step, but I assure you it's worth it. You are not alone, and I'm here when you're ready.

"As a mom, who knows how busy life can be. I know how important it is for us to be present and well for those we most care about. I have an understanding of what it takes to make life changes in order to see different outcomes for our future. "

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
In high school, I took a psychology class and I was completed fascinated by the mind and human behavior. It became my major as an undergraduate however I knew that I wanted to go into the field to help others. Therefore, I went on to get my Masters in Counseling.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work with individuals that want to see something different for themselves. Clients that do not want to keep living their lives on the same hamster wheel and are ready to make changes. Those individuals that are willing to put in the work towards meaningful self discovery.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
We all need help in one way or another and taking the step to admit it does not make us weak. It actually makes us stronger for not only ourselves but for those in our lives. Therapy is not a forever sentence full of judgment by people who have never had a problem a day in their lives. Therapy is for anyone who want to better their circumstances. It is a stepping stone. It is not for life. It will only give you tools that can use for the rest of it.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In the early stages, I just want to get to know the person that I am serving. We are much more than whatever brought the person in. I like to get to know more about the person's background, interests, and hobbies. I will answer any question the person might have pertaining to therapy. My goal is for the person to feel comfortable. I want the person leaving feeling more hopeful.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is rooted in being humble and genuine as well as having unconditional positive regard towards those I am serving. Every person that I have encountered throughout my journey as a therapist has taught me something. It is not only a privilege but an honor to be able to be of service.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I will see the person's strength and tailor my therapy towards what I believe would benefit them. For example, if the person enjoys writing. I will suggest journaling. If a person wants to feel more confident perhaps we will do some role playing.
