About Sherreika
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 8 years of experience helping children, teens, and adults navigate life’s challenges and discover their strengths along the way. I believe that everyone has the capacity to grow and heal, and my goal is to create a space where you feel seen, supported, and understood. My approach is strengths-based and person-centered, focusing on what’s already working for you while introducing new tools to help you move forward at your own pace.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Delaware State University. I integrate various therapeutic approaches tailored to each client’s unique needs, often incorporating cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and solution-focused strategies to promote healing, balance, and emotional resilience.
In our sessions, you can expect warmth, curiosity, and collaboration. I work to help you build on your strengths and create practical strategies for the change you want in your life. Together, we will focus on fostering growth, insight, and empowerment as you move toward your goals with confidence and clarity.

Get to know Sherreika
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a licensed clinical social worker, because I am passionate about supporting individuals through life's challenges and transitions. I believe that everyone has the capacity for healing and growth.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with individuals who are ready to build on their strengths, explore new perspectives, and make meaningful changes in their lives.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
It is normal to feel somewhat nervous at first. Deciding to attend therapy is a major decision and an accomplishment towards your healing journey.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Clients can expect a safe and non-judgmental space for me to get to know them and what brought them to therapy. Clients will learn the basis of the therapeutic process, have any questions answered, and begin building trust so they feel supported from the start.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I strive to create a space where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered to grow. My work is grounded in empathy, compassion, and respect for each person's story. I focus on building genuine relationships established in trust and respect.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy to each client's unique needs, focusing on their strengths and using approaches that fit into their goals, learning, style, and pace. I believe therapy works best when it feels personal, flexible, and centered around the client's voice and experiences.
