About Nicole
I am a licensed professional counselor with a mental health service provider designation (LPC-MHSP) and 26 years of experience supporting individuals across a wide range of mental health and substance-use concerns. I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and major life transitions using a compassionate, collaborative, and strength-based approach.
I earned my master’s degree in clinical counseling from Bellevue University. My work is grounded in evidence-based, trauma-informed care and includes cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and relapse-prevention strategies. I have extensive experience in outpatient and community-based settings.
I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe, heard, and empowered. Together, we will work at a pace that feels right for you, focus on realistic goals, and build practical coping skills to support lasting change, emotional balance, and a stronger sense of self.

"As someone who continues to navigate life stressors and challenges, I remain grounded in the belief that healing happens when you feel deeply understood, respected, and empowered to reconnect with your own strengths."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a counselor because I am drawn to understanding people’s stories and helping them make sense of difficult experiences in a way that leads to healing and growth. Seeing how mental health and addiction can affect every part of a person’s life and how powerful it can be when someone finally feels heard and supported. I remain passionate about creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where people can explore challenges, build resilience, and reconnect with their strengths.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I am well suited to working with clients who value a collaborative, nonjudgmental approach and want practical tools alongside deeper self-reflection. Whether someone is seeking stability in recovery, healthier coping skills, improved relationships, or greater emotional balance, I work best with individuals who are ready to engage in the process at their own pace and build sustainable change over time.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
One thing I wish all clients knew is that healing is not about “fixing” yourself or doing therapy perfectly. It is about showing up honestly and with curiosity. Progress is often nonlinear, and moments that feel slow or uncomfortable are often signs that meaningful work is happening, not that you’re failing.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In the early stages of therapy, we focus on building trust, clarifying goals, and identifying patterns or stressors that may be impacting your well-being. You can expect a collaborative process where we begin developing practical coping tools, increasing self-awareness, and laying a strong foundation for deeper work as you feel ready.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is deeply informed by my belief in the resilience of people and the importance of compassion, dignity, and authenticity in the healing process. I value meeting clients without judgment and honoring the complexity of their experiences, recognizing that everyone’s story is shaped by relationships, environment, culture, and moments of struggle as well as strength. I am guided by the idea that meaningful change happens in safe, trusting relationships, and that therapy works best when clients feel respected, empowered, and actively involved in their own growth. These values shape how I show up, with curiosity, humility, and consistency, so clients can feel supported as they build insight, develop skills, and move toward lives that feel more balanced and fulfilling
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by striving for a deep understanding of each client’s experiences, strengths, cultural background, and goals, rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach. I regularly check in about what feels helpful, what may not be working, and adjust the focus and pace based on your feedback and where you are in the moment.
