Kat Santoro has 3 years of experience as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor working with individuals navigating challenges including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and life transitions. Kat has a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in childhood and adolescent disorders from Grand Canyon University. She uses cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, and expressive art therapy, among other approaches.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a counselor because I’ve always had a deep passion for helping others.

I work best with clients who are open to self-exploration and ready to take an active role in their healing process.

I am excited to work with clients who are motivated to create positive change in their lives.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
Healing and personal growth are not linear, and it’s completely normal to experience ups and downs along the way.

I'm inspired by seeing people change.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
Clients can expect a warm, welcoming environment where we’ll discuss their concerns, explore their goals for therapy, and begin to build a trusting, collaborative relationship focused on their unique needs.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
I want to better understand the client and begin building the therapeutic relationship.

I am eager to assist them with working towards their goals.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
Spend time with my family, go on walks with my dog, bake, read, and watch Flyers games.
