About Jennifer
I am a licensed professional counselor of mental health (LPCMH) with 7 years of experience supporting older teens and adults. I specialize in helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and challenges related to forensic system involvement. Many of my clients are seeking relief from overwhelming emotions, healthier relationships, and practical tools to manage life’s waves.
I earned my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Slippery Rock University. My approach is client-centered and flexible, integrating cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy to build coping skills, regulate emotions, and process pain in a collaborative and individualized way.
Healing is hard work, but you do not have to do it alone. I bring warmth, humor, and authenticity into our sessions, so growth feels supportive, not intimidating. If you are ready to begin—or even just considering it—I invite you to take the next step and schedule an appointment.

"As someone who believes in the healing power of creativity, I often say, “Music doesn’t eliminate the storm, but it gives us rhythm while we walk through it"."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
My interest in how the brain works as well as my interest in people also drew me to psychology. My drive to help others and understand others helped push me towards being a therapist.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who are wanting to show up for themselves and not for others.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I want all my clients to know that they are capable of change and that it comes from within as myself as their guide. therapy may not work for everyone but having someone to listen always does.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
They can expect me to remember things that most may not and really dive into their lives and also the things that bring them joy. I like to really get to know my clients in the early stages to really understand them as a whole person.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My personal experiences of loss as well as the want and need to help others have shaped how i have become the therapist I am today.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I love to meet the client where they are at within their therapy journey and always check in as well as have open conversations with clients about their goals and what is working for them and what is not.
