Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I decided to become a counselor because I enjoy helping people. My father was in a helping profession and taught me the values of caring and giving back. I also had a positive experience myself with counseling when I was younger and needed support during a difficult time in my own life.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I have worked with people ranging in age from 5 to 75. I particularly enjoy working with young adults.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish all clients knew that they are stronger and more capable than they might think that they are.

What inspires you?
Seeing people make changes and feel better is inspiring to me.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
For me to be kind, non-judgmental, and caring, and also to want to hear about their strengths and abilities, not just about the things they are struggling to manage.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
I want to learn more about the person and to start building the therapeutic relationship.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?
I will do my best to help them with their goals.
