Get to know Fanta

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

Fanta became a counselor out of a deep passion for supporting others through life’s challenges and helping them uncover their inner strength. Witnessing the impact of unaddressed emotional pain in her community inspired her to be a source of healing, empowerment, and hope. Her work is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and whole.

What types of clients do you work with best?

Fanta works best with clients who are ready to explore their inner world and take active steps toward healing and growth. She specializes in supporting adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. Her ideal clients are open to a holistic, collaborative approach and are seeking a safe space to feel empowered, understood, and supported.

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

Fanta is most excited to work with clients who are curious about their healing journey and open to self-discovery. She especially enjoys supporting individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected and are ready to explore new ways of understanding themselves, building resilience, and creating meaningful change in their lives.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

Fanta wishes all clients knew that healing isn’t linear—and there’s no “right” way to do it. Growth takes time, and every step forward, no matter how small, is meaningful. You are not broken; you are becoming.

Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

Fanta chose to practice at Thriveworks because of its commitment to accessible, high-quality mental health care and its supportive, client-centered values. The remote therapy model allows her to connect with clients in a way that’s flexible, convenient, and comfortable—making it easier for individuals to prioritize their mental wellness wherever they are.

What inspires you?

0

Fanta is inspired by the resilience of the human spirit—the way people continue to show up, grow, and heal even in the face of pain. She finds deep motivation in witnessing her clients reclaim their stories, rediscover their strength, and move toward lives filled with purpose, connection, and self-acceptance.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

In their first session with Fanta, clients can expect a warm, welcoming space where they are encouraged to share their story at their own pace. She focuses on building trust, understanding their goals, and collaboratively creating a plan tailored to their unique needs—laying a foundation for healing and growth.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

In her free time, Fanta enjoys building with Legos, exploring nature through hiking, and staying active with regular workouts—activities that help her relax, recharge, and stay grounded.

What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?

One thing that defines Fanta outside of work is her creativity and love for building—whether it’s with Legos or crafting new ideas—which reflects her passion for growth, problem-solving, and seeing things from fresh perspectives.
