About Amy
Amy Lake is a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health (LPCMH) in the state of Delaware as well as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Maryland. Amy has 12 years of experience providing individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship conflicts, and substance abuse. She has experience working in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Amy completed her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology at Augusta College and her Master of Science (MS) in Psychology at Augusta State University. She utilizes an eclectic approach in working with her clients, understanding that each individual has their own unique struggles and goals. Amy's training includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed therapy, mindfulness, strength-based, person-centered, and psychodynamic approaches.

I decided to become a counselor because I enjoy helping others find solutions to their problems and supporting them through the challenges they are facing.

In my time off I enjoy spending time with family and friends as well as reading.
