About Terri

I'm Terri, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and older adults in hospital, school, and home settings. I have worked with individuals facing challenges with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, grief, life transitions, and more. My goal as your clinician is to provide an opportunity to create positive and effective change.

My clinical approach combines Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to help you develop practical skills, increase self-awareness, and build healthier behavioral patterns. These methods are tailored to your individual needs so we can focus on the steps that move you toward your goals.

I look forward to helping you build a balanced life that supports your growth and wellbeing

"Feeling lost can make it hard to know how to begin helping yourself. I invite a supportive and collaborative process in therapy, so that you don't have to navigate challenges alone."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

It can be difficult managing strong emotions, life's hardships, and what can sometimes feel like no time to address it all. To give time to someone to be able to focus on themselves and shine light on their ability to navigate life's stressors with support and guidance is meaningful/rewarding.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

Vulnerability and honesty are crucial parts of the process. It takes time and effort, that is both challenging and rewarding.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

In your first session and early stages of therapy, we'll focus on building a trusting relationship. We'll talk about your life experiences, current challenges, and what brings you to therapy. Together, we'll explore what the process might look like for you and start identifying treatment goals.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

My practice is informed by my personal belief in the value of therapy. I don't just guide others through the process, I engage in it myself, and integrate the principles into my own life. I bring a lived experience of the work I do with my clients.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

We work together to explore challenges, set goals, and determine next steps, to ensure the process aligns with your values and preferences.
