Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a therapist because I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel truly heard and valued. Mental health challenges can make people feel isolated or powerless, and I wanted to help change that. There’s something incredibly meaningful about guiding someone as they uncover their own strength, rewrite unhelpful narratives, and reclaim agency in their life.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
One thing I wish all clients knew? You are not stuck, even when it feels that way. Change might not happen overnight, but you have more strength and power within you than your struggles have led you to believe. Therapy isn’t about ‘fixing’ you; it’s about helping you rediscover the tools and resilience you already have to create a life that feels authentically yours.
