About Hayley
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 2 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through life’s challenges. I help clients navigate stress, relationships, and personal growth by creating a warm, collaborative space where they feel seen and supported. My approach is tailored to each person’s unique needs, focusing on building strengths, developing coping skills, and fostering resilience and lasting change.
I earned my Master’s in Counselor Education from Radford University. I use a person-centered and strengths-based approach that combines empathy, support, and practical strategies to help clients overcome barriers and build self-awareness.
It takes courage to begin therapy, and I believe everyone deserves a space to feel heard, understood, and empowered. In our work together, you can expect guidance, authenticity, and a safe space to grow at your own pace.

"I believe that healing starts with being truly seen, so I work to build a space where you can explore who you are without pressure or judgment."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I was drawn to counseling because I know how transformative it can be to feel heard and understood. I wanted to be someone who helps others process pain, find clarity, and take steps toward healing and growth.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who are motivated to engage in the therapeutic process and open to self-reflection. Those who are willing to explore their thoughts, feelings, and patterns often find therapy most rewarding, and I enjoy partnering with them to support meaningful growth and change.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
One thing I wish all clients knew is that therapy is what you make of it. The more you engage, reflect, and bring your experiences to the process, the more meaningful and transformative it can be. Healing is a collaborative journey, and your effort and openness make all the difference.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In your first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you and your story. I’ll ask about your current challenges, goals, and what brings you to therapy, while also giving you space to share what feels most important. In the early stages, we work together to build trust, clarify your goals, and begin exploring patterns, strengths, and strategies that can support growth. My goal is to create a safe, collaborative environment where you feel heard and supported from the very beginning.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is informed by my belief in empathy, connection, and the importance of being seen and heard. Having navigated life’s own challenges, I understand how difficult it can be to feel stuck or overwhelmed. These experiences have shaped my approach, helping me create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their emotions, uncover strengths, and work toward meaningful growth. I value authenticity, collaboration, and honoring each person’s unique journey, and I strive to bring these values into every session.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
Every client is unique, so I adjust my approach to meet their individual needs. I combine empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based techniques to create sessions that feel safe, relevant, and focused on the changes they want to see in their life.
