About Provider

About Caitlin

Caitlin Opland, MSW, LCSW, CCTP‑II, ACS, is a therapist who believes people heal best when they feel understood and supported. With more than 12 years of experience across hospital systems, trauma work, and outpatient mental health, she brings both clinical expertise and genuine warmth to the therapy room.

Caitlin specializes in working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, burnout, and major life transitions. As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional–Level II, she offers advanced trauma-informed care for clients with both acute and complex trauma histories. Her style blends evidence-based practices like CBT, MI, and Solution-Focused Therapy with a deeply person-centered, strengths-based approach.

Her background includes medical social work, crisis intervention, and clinical supervision. She teaches and mentors future social workers through her work with the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work, which keeps her grounded in the values of ethical practice, collaboration, and authentic connection. She also serves in a broader educator role with DU GSSW, supporting developing clinicians in clinical reasoning, assessment, and integrated behavioral health.

Clients can expect a therapeutic relationship rooted in respect, collaboration, and genuine care. Caitlin’s goal is to help you understand what’s getting in the way, build tools that truly support your day‑to‑day life, and move toward a more grounded, connected, and fulfilling way of being.

"I understand that with societal changes and pressures, seeking support from an unbiased space can seem scary; however, I hope to offer that space where juggling the many “hats” you're responsible for doesn't have to seem so heavy."
