About Magnolia
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with 8 years of experience providing therapy to diverse and underserved populations. I offer therapy in both English and Spanish and specialize in supporting individuals, families, and children navigating mental health challenges. My experience includes working with students, undocumented families, and individuals in both acute and outpatient mental health settings, as well as those involved in the justice system.
I earned my master’s degree in social work from California State University. My approach integrates cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, build on strengths, and develop practical strategies that support meaningful and lasting change.
Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you’ve been carrying challenges on your own. I create a supportive and collaborative space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. Together, we can work toward reducing symptoms, building resilience, and developing the tools you need to navigate life’s challenges with confidence.

"As a Mexican American therapist who understands the challenges that come with navigating a unique cultural experience, I approach therapy with cultural humility, integrating evidence-based strategies to help build coping skills and create meaningful change."

I work best with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, and significant life transition. I provide a supportive person-centered environment where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients identify unhelpful thinking patterns, strengthen skills, and building practical for managing symptoms and symptoms reduction.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish clients understood that needing support doesn't mean you're weak, it means you are human. Mental health challenges are not a character flaw they are experiences that deserve care.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, you can expect a safe, supportive environment, and collaborative space where we focus on understanding what brings you into therapy. If you're ready to take the next step, I invite you to reach out. Change does not have to happen all at once Sometimes it simply begins with a conversation.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is grounded in empathy, cultural humility, and the belief that healing happens, when people feel safe, understood, and supported.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I view therapy as a collaborative process. Together, we identify your goals, and we regularly check-in to ensure our work feels relevant and aligned with your needs.
