Lona Misouria is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 6 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families. Lona is passionate about helping clients uncover their inner strengths as they navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional dysregulation, and co-occurring conditions. Her approach is collaborative, culturally sensitive, and rooted in trust and transparency.
Lona earned her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University. She integrates trauma-informed care with evidence-based approaches to support clients dealing with emotional, relational, and behavioral challenges. Her clinical work is grounded in empathy and cultural humility.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I understand that life can be difficult at times, I am deeply committed to supporting individuals and couples from all backgrounds to help them embrace the healing and restoration they desire.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I am a trauma informed clinician who has extensive experience supporting clients that experience distress from trauma, anxiety, depression, behavioral & emotional dysregulation and co-occurring conditions.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am excited to collaborate with anyone who is curious to know, "who could I be, if I allow myself to heal?".
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
"Life will shrink or expand according to your courage".
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I love cross-country road trips, movies and game nights with my family, reading, horseback riding, walk therapy, and my heart’s desire is to visit all the zoos across the nation!
